Journal Tips

Welcome to the Without Ceasing prayer journal club! I’m so glad you have decided to make this part of your walk with Christ a priority. Journaling has helped me grow in so many ways and when I took my plain old journals and turned them into prayer journals it truly made all the difference in my walk.

I designed the Without Ceasing prayer journals in a particular way for a reason: to be most effective in helping you journal through your prayer life and your bible study. Below I have explained exactly how I designed the journals to work. You can, of course, use them in any way you like. This is just the idea I designed them around and how I use my own personal prayer journal. At the end of the day it is really just a notebook. What matters is that you are making this time a priority. If you use your journal in a creative or new way, I would love to see it! Be sure to post it on social media and tag me! The left side of your journal will be college-ruled like this

This side is intended for writing out your prayers, jotting down bible study or sermon notes, or making lists of prayer needs, memory verses, etc.

The right side of your journal will be a dot-grid like this.

This side is intended for more creative expression; hand-lettering scripture verses, sketching, writing out quotes from studies & sermons, or any other creative use you can think of.

The reason I structure it this way is so that during your daily prayer or study time you can first order your thoughts and write out your prayers and THEN get creative with what God is laying on your heart (or what you are laying at His feet) that day.
