So, there are a LOT of new faces around here lately. And I thought it might be fun to play my fave game of facts and find out more about you guys!
.
I'm giving you guys three little facts about me that you might not know and then I want to hear from you -- let's see if we have any quirks in common.
.
1. My favorite book of the OT is Hosea and my fave book of the NT is a three-way tie between Ephesians, 1 John, & Hebrews.
.
2. I am a podcast junkie! So, drop your recommendations below because I can blow through an entire que of episodes in no time.
.
3. I don't like chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, or chocolate frosted donuts. But, I LOVE chocolate as-is. Gimme all the Hershey bars, Dove chocolates, and Cadbury candy eggs!

I have an endless list of all the things that disqualify me from showing up in this space every day and sharing my faith-walk with you. .
- I am unbelievably selfish.
.
- I get impatient and yell at my husband.
.
- I go days without picking up my bible.
.
- I rarely go to the Lord in prayer as my first reaction to a situation.
.
- I say "umm" way too much when I'm speaking.
.
- I spend more time scrolling through this app than I do sending thoughtful messages to friends.
.
- I am WAY too controlling, judgmental, lazy, defensive, self-centered, and inconsiderate. .
- I leave last year's planner in the floor next to the console table covered in dust along with an old church program & a journal and they will all still be there tonight when I go to bed. .
I could go on forever about all the things that disqualify me from this position. BUT, there is one thing that makes all of those disqualifications shrink away each morning: GRACE.
.
For everything I lack, He has grace sufficient for me. Because of the grace I find through Christ I can stand before you, 100% unqualified to do anything on my own, and point to the One that overshadows all of my flaws with His holiness, goodness, mercy, and GRACE.
.
What are you shying away from because you have forgotten this grace? Don't let disqualifications hold you back from what He has called you to.

Happy Monday, friends! It's the start of a new week and I woke up to sunshine, birds chirping, and fresh blooms outside of our home -- the ones in this picture are 100% from the discount faux stems section though 🤣

What I'm getting at is that spring has finally decided to show us a sliver of hope here in VA and I am so ready for it! Watching the sunset from the sunroom, walking barefoot outside, and finally having an excuse to eat tons of Easter chocolate makes my heart happy. .

Things I never thought I would identify myself as: blogger/writer (that was not at all my major or my intended career path!), dog mom (nope, I'm actually more of a cat person!), and someone with an email inbox full of messages from such a wonderful audience. The emails you guys send me, whether telling me that a post has touched your heart or asking me to pray for you, seriously make my day! In fact, those emails are what I hold onto when there are bumps in the road along this journey. .
I want you guys to know how grateful I am for you. How much I thrive on your sweet messages. And how blown away I am that you could be impacted by something I have said. I also want you to know that I have thought about you guys for a long time -- well before I ever started this. I used to think of you, the women I felt so called to speak to, ALL THE TIME. I couldn't get you off my mind. So, I have YOU to thank for giving me the courage I needed to step out and do this thing. Thank you, so so much. .
